Ponteland’s first Winter Ale Festival
Ponteland Memorial Hall is organising and hosting the town’s first Winter Ale Festival which will be held on Friday November 24 and Saturday November 25 from 4pm-10pm.
John Harrison, Chair of Ponteland Memorial Hall Charity Trustees and organiser of the festival said “The Summer Beer Festival organised by Ponteland Rugby Club is a great success and we thought why not have a Winter Ale Festival to complement it and raise funds for the Hall in this our centenary year. We have had an excellent response from local businesses when we asked them to sponsor the festival and we are very grateful for their support.”
The festival will feature over 30 beer, lager and cider options in the hall from local breweries. Other drinks, including wine and gin, will be available from the Lounge Bar run by The Pont Tap team. Food vans by Angel of Corbridge will be on site and there is a great line-up of local live music. Free parking will be available.
Tickets cost £15 and include four half-pint tokens per ticket. Further tokens can be purchased on the day. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the Ponteland Memorial Hall.
John Harrison continued “The Rugby Club have been very supportive to us. Although our festival will be smaller than theirs as it is being held indoors it will still pack a punch.
