Founded in January 2012 by husband and wife Simon and Dawn Miles, Brew Star’s 10 barrel plant at The Whitehouse Farm Centre, near Morpeth, currently produces two regular beers – Blonde St*r and Sinist*r.
The fledgling firm have also brewed a small selection of experimental beers, including a 7% lager brewed with New Zealand and German hops and a Stout, which they have offered for sale through their brewery visitor centre. A second blonde beer, marked up as “Blonde St*r Special” was available at the 36th Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival.
The brewery visitor bar is open 11am to 5.30pm on weekends, then opens every day during the summer from May 5th, with brewery tours available.
Following the threat of legal action from Brewsters brewery they have changed their name to Anarchy Brewing
