Canny Bevvy wins CAMRA’s Most Improved Magazine of the Year Award

This is the first time in its 40 year history that Canny Bevvy has won a national CAMRA award. National director Lynn Atack said: “The unstinting efforts of everyone involved, from writing articles, producing the layout through to delivery, and everyone in between, working together to deliver such a professional publication never fails to amaze me, and the Campaign says a big thank you to everyone for doing such a valuable job. The award exists to help raise quality, promote good practice and inspire others to raise their game, and given to those who follow best practice as set out in the magazine toolkit available to all editors.”

Canny Bevvy editor Adrian Gray said: “Winning the award was a great honour for the branch, and I would like to thank everyone involved, including the loyal advertisers who have supported the magazine throughout the years.”

The presentation of the Most Improved Magazine of the Year award couldn’t take place at the cancelled Members’ Weekend in April. The presentation will now take place when circumstances allow.
